Archdiocese hires new director for the Office of Catechesis and Faith Formation


The Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon is pleased to announce the hiring of a new director for the Office of Catechesis and Faith Formation. Rolando Moreno has accepted the position and will start in December.
Rolando served as Pastoral Associate of Catechesis and Family Life at St. Joseph Parish in Salem from 2005 to 2014. He comes to the Archdiocese of Portland from Central Catholic High School in Portland, where he has been teaching religion and assisting with campus ministry. He received his Master of Theological Studies from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America in 2005. In 2003, he received his B.A. in Theology and Philosophy with a concentration in Religious Education from the Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Archbishop Sample has identified catechesis and faith formation as a top pastoral priority for the Church in western Oregon.
