William Byrd Festival

Cantores in Ecclesia presents the 22nd annual William Byrd Festival, featuring choral masterpieces by the great Renaissance composer William Byrd (1540-1623).  English conductor and organist Mark Williams, along with special guest Dr. Ross Duffin, will join conductor Blake Applegate to direct Cantores in Ecclesia during the festival.  The complete schedule includes an organ recital, six liturgical services, three public lectures and two concerts.

Admission for most events is free, with a free-will offering.  Tickets for the August 25th concert are $25 general admission, $20 seniors & students; they are available in advance by phone at 1-800-838-3006, online at www.brownpapertickets.com.  Any remaining tickets will be available to purchase at the door.

Cantores in Ecclesia provides Gregorian chant and sacred polyphony in liturgical contexts.  It has established itself as a leader in liturgical and early music performance, winning loyal supporters at home and top honors in international competition.
