Saint James Catholic Church & School, McMinnville

We are so excited to head out to McMinnville and highlight the incredible community of St. James! Here’s a few things to know about this fantastic parish.

About the Parish

  • The parish has a vibrant community that takes responsibility for a wide variety of ministries and service. Every day is full of activities!
  • St. James has a strong array of faith formation and Sacramental Prep programs, including:
    • A great youth ministry program that has been running for many year, including s middle school, high school, confirmation, and Christian Initiation for Children.
    • First Communion classes are filling up this year!
    • Regular classes are offered for the Sacraments of Baptism and Marriage, as well as for quinceaneras.
  • The parish – and their Knights of Columbus Council – have been running a booth at the Mount Angel Oktoberfest for 27 years. Those funds go back to support the parish and school, as well as many other local charitable organizations.
  • Other parish ministries include:
    • Prison Ministry and Social Justice and Outreach
    • Adult Bible Study
    • Church Laundry team
    • Church Maintenance Committee
    • Young Parents and Adult group
    • Spanish Prayer group
    • Apostoles de la Palabra group
    • School Remodel and Fundraising group
  • St. James School serves Preschool through Eighth Grade. Each March they put on the Food & Wine Classic at the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, which draws thousands of people to experience the region’s best wine, food, art, and music. Proceeds go back to St. James School!

    • Sunday: 9:00 am (English)
    • Sunday: 12pm (Spanish)
  • Daily Mass:
    • Wed – Fri: 8:30 am
  • Confessions:
  • Saturdays: 3:30 – 4:30 pm
  • Thursday Adoration 9 am – 5:30 pm
