- St. Matthew’s has a Eucharistic Adoration chapel open 7 days a week, from 6 am until midnight.
- The parish is under the pastoral care of the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit, an order of priests, deacons, and brothers founded in Mexico in 1914. They are part of a larger Family of the Cross, made up of other groups for both lay and religious members.
- This past Monday was the Feast of Blessed Concepción Cabrera (or Conchita), who established the Works of the Cross, five Catholic institutions open to those who want to live the Spirituality of the Cross. St. Matthew’s parish has members of two of the five: the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit and the Apostleship of the Cross.
- Blessed Conchita lived and sanctified all the states of Christian life: fiancée, wife, mother, grandmother, widow, and by a special indulgence of Pius X, died as a religious in the arms of her children on March 3, 1937, in Mexico City. The most outstanding characteristics of her life were her deep passion for God and her profound love for the salvation of all people.
