St. Rose Catholic Church & School, NE Portland

Our Parish for the Week of June 18:

Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, NE Portland

This week we are heading over to Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in NE Portland for our Parish of the Week. Here are a few highlights about this incredible parish.

  • Pastor Fr. Matt Libra just celebrated 12 years as a priest this month! Catch Fr. Matt and Discipleship Coordinator Sarah Montague on an interview with the Morning Blend below.
  • Saint Rose Catholic School has a strong focus on supporting families, passing on the Catholic faith, and cultivating virtue. Limited space is available in all grades (PreK to 8th) for the coming school year!
  • The dedicated volunteers of St. Vincent De Paul provide important services to NE Portland. During the past month, the Saint Rose chapter served 167 households, and helped with 5 rents and utility payments.

Parish Activities and Events

  • All are welcome to each Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. for Confession and Eucharistic Adoration, with music provided by Daniel Oberreuter. As an addition for the months of July and August, after Adoration concludes at 7 p.m. enjoy a FREE summer BBQ and an episode of The Chosen!
  • Two large community events are the Annual Fish BBQ in the Fall and the Progressive Dinner in the Spring. The Progressive Dinner just happened last week! This event started at a nearby parishioners home with appetizers and drinks, followed by a steak dinner and continued fellowship at the next house. To conclude the night, everyone reconvened at Saint Rose for dessert and coffee!
