Our History
In the 1950s, parishioners from Holy Rosary Church began broadcasting the recitation of the Rosary on Portland commercial radio. This would eventually lead to our station’s inaugural KBVM broadcast on December 8, 1989, from our studios at the University of Portland! This also marked the first time a US Catholic radio station was purchased by the laity and supported by its listeners.
