Having spent the last 25 years of my life in Catholic Radio, I have had the opportunity to listen to a lot of different programs. So much of what I hear is so rich in content, but because of my own weakness in the area of retention, I seldom remember much of what I have just listened to. With that idea in mind, I have created these short presentations that focus on one word contained within the readings for the day. The title, “The Word for Today,” has a double meaning. First and foremost, it means literally the single Word we are concentrating on for the day. Secondly, it means that the word is effective in our day. It is, “alive and active.” Sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). It is sufficient to cover the needs of today. -Dave Vacheresse
